Humour is a valuable resource. It is a basic attitude that makes it possible to break open entrenched patterns of thought and action and to think through new approaches to solutions. Seriously, we all need the good and the useful, but only the beautiful allows us to experience play and fun. Or do you see it differently? Multisensuality despite digitalisation, immaterial value fulfilment in the product, selfness with candyfloss … The human weakness is taste – the desire for play and fun in the experience. Whether from a manufacture or from the factory: it can become a game to touch window handles, screw on fittings, switch on lamps, lay out floor coverings …
We are increasingly becoming homo aestheticus. Humans are shaped by all the design that surrounds them. It can make us want more if it fulfils the purpose in its entirety and feeds our positive experience. We are positive and like to play with material, form, colour and light. Play along!
