(R)Evolutionary worlds
of experience

It’s easy to just talk about store concepts. But sooner or later they have to be built. This fact triggers disillusionment in some people. It ignites inventiveness in us. Especially when a leading manufacturer of furnishing systems challenges us to develop a shelf system that sets new standards for retail and office environments. Modular. Elegant. And, above all, relevant. A true all-rounder. For (r)evolutionary worlds of experience in retail.

Strategic precision work

Omnipotence does not arise spontaneously. It cannot be achieved single-handedly. Which is why we combine our product designers’ eye for detail with the bigger picture – the contextual planning of the interior design. This ensures we have a head for practical solutions and a heart for reimagined living space. As well as extensive knowledge acquired through dozens of shop redesigns. All of which we shared with Visplay as part of Vitra AG. We helped define the target industries and translate their requirements into the new system. Down to the millimetre.

When complex becomes flexible

Multifunctional and extremely easy to adapt – for Omnio, we developed a completely new Y‑connection between the frame and shelves that befits the complexity of modern shop-fitting solutions. Invisible to the observer, this clever detail makes the most diverse configurations possible, from robust to high-end. In seconds, high becomes low, light becomes dark, coarse becomes fine, simple becomes chic.

Retail design for health & beauty

This form-fitting system creates the ideal basis for an entire world of beauty. Painted in light colours, Omnio builds minimalist “stages” for health and beauty products. Including a floating element for highlight presentations. During development, we naturally also gave some thought to aesthetic lighting solutions. Entire shelves become illuminated LED panels thanks to intelligent power management. And the use of digital applications has never been easier. Magical!

Look what I can do …

With its will to change, Omnio has also inspired our Motion Design department. In our short film we bring the shelf to life – and just let it do its thing. Worlds emerge like dreams. Worlds in which we can fly. And show what’s possible. Simply everything. Accompanied by the specially composed Omnio soundtrack. Which, incidentally, is far more relaxing than the album of the same name by a Norwegian heavy metal band.

Offices & working environments

Omnio would not be called Omnio were it unable to revolutionise working environments. From co-working spaces to open-plan offices and studios, Omnio builds new spaces in no time at all – flexible ones! Countless configurations and extensions help to achieve this, such as the multi-lane carrier rails. These can help to create an open climate. Or create peace and privacy with closed modules. Hook-in whiteboards and pin boards also help to organise the workspace.

Retail design – fashion

Haute couture or casual? Omnio embodies a timeless, restrained design language that adapts to fashion ranges without stealing the show. In this way, it lets you play with different styles and colours. And materials: the range extends from MDF to marble. Due to the variable heights and back walls, the system works just as well on the wall as in the room centre. As a room divider or an eye-catching highlight in the shop window. For both lying and hanging goods.
