It’s easy to just talk about “worlds of experience”. But sooner or later they have to be built. When one of the most important manufacturers of furnishing systems challenges us with the task, it simply ignites our creative spirit. The aim was to develop a shelving system that sets new standards for office environments: a system with relevance that is worth talking about.

Strategic precision work

Omnipotence does not arise spontaneously. It cannot be achieved single-handedly. Which is why we combine our product designer’s eye for detail with the bigger picture – the contextual planning of the interior design. This ensures we have a head for practical solutions and a heart for reimagined living space. As well as extensive knowledge acquired through dozens of shop redesigns. All of which we shared with Visplay as part of Vitra AG. We helped define the target industries and translate their requirements into the new system. Down to the millimetre.

Offices & working environments

Whether it be co-working spaces, open-plan offices or studios: Omnio P/L can be placed individually and creatively against even seemingly inconspicuous walls. For example, the uprights and shelf frames can be used to define customisable modules that meet individual needs and can be changed at short notice. On the other hand, those who prefer more obvious installations have a whole range of space-creating options thanks to simple construction and understated design variation. For furniture with a storage function or intelligent workspaces that allow a structured way of working, for example. Hook-in whiteboards, side, back and pin boards round off the organisation of the workplace in a coherent design. Omnio P/L offers a playful maximum of freedom of space.

Full-blown micro-architecture

Omnio P/L builds flexible spaces and creates structure in no time at all. Countless configurations and extensions help to achieve this, such as the multi-lane carrier rails. It can add character to an open room climate or create peace and privacy through closed modules. As it can be extended in all directions, it also serves to define pathways, areas and processes in a working environment. And when needs and requirements change, Omnio P/L adapts easily and quickly.

Look what I can do …

With its will to change, Omnio P/L has also inspired our Motion Design team. In our short film we bring this shelving system to life – and just let it do its thing. In a dreamlike way, worlds emerge that make us fly. Omnipresence thanks to a bird’s eye view, accompanied by the specially composed Omnio soundtrack, which is far more relaxed than the album of the same name by a Norwegian heavy metal band.
