On a construction site, it must be clear who has the plan. Whose statements can be relied upon? Who is responsible? Köster GmbH gives a self-confident answer – and shows its true colours. The company is Germany’s leading construction company for the working environment, housing and living as well as infrastructure. The range of services extends from individual planning to the turnkey implementation of construction projects. Tailor-made construction projects are implemented in this way through a network of 20 locations nationwide. Freely adapted from the Greek philosopher Aristotle who once said “The whole is more than the sum of its parts”, we have created a uniform brand design for Köster.
Giving shape to a brand
How does a general contractor stand out in today’s market? And how do you design a brand for an organisation with 2,000 employees and a turnover of 1.3 billion euros? For Köster GmbH, our focus was on creating a coherent brand image. And the result has a signal effect. Just like an exclamation mark, a vertical red column marks every construction site. This makes it easy to see who is responsible for the project even from a distance. The red form is as simple as it is solid.
From the business card to the construction site, it supports and stabilises the entire corporate communication – internally and externally. Customers and employees receive a clear message across all media: with Köster, construction projects gain stability and structure. An unmistakable statement for which we had previously analysed the market and worked out how the company stood out from its competitors.
Incorporated inside – presented to the outside
As an expert for individual buildings, competence and reliability are naturally at the top of Köster’s agenda. But you can only shine on the outside if there is coherent positioning on the inside. We visibly transported and communicated these values – for the two- and three-dimensional spaces as well as analogue and digital space.
Flying high in the digital world
We are accompanying Köster on its journey through digital transformation. We are creating sales media, customer newsletters, presentation templates, virtual trade fairs and infographics. With the online brand manual, we have also given the company a guide that digitally puts the corporate design on paper. Consistent and memorable. For two- and three-dimensional spaces. With the aim of a visibly stringent brand experience that still leaves enough room for the further development of the brand.
Construction above and below ground. Economical and individual – that is Köster’s core competence. We supplied a new trade fair design for the company as part of the corporate design. The corporate colours extend across the stand as space-creating columns on the floor, walls and ceiling, drawing visitors straight inside the stand. In itself, this is a simple and clear design, which gives the core competences the necessary space to work.
