Kaufmann Bausysteme
Small architecture
with a big impact
Natural wood forms the spaces for social housing, co-working areas, kindergartens, temporary housing and other spaces designed for human activity and accommodation. With its warm charisma, wood ensures human well-being and creates a harmonious relationship between inside and out. A system in harmony with lofty economic and ecological goals.
Strategic design
In partnership with Kaufmann Bausysteme from Vorarlberg, we designed various wooden container systems. You might also call them small space-saving miracles with huge potential. The modular design is characterised by a short construction time and a good ecological balance. The system is precise – down to the millimetre. And customisable: it’s easy to create the room you want. Flexibility that fascinates. And gives you freedom.
Rooms for young and old
From kindergartens to co-working spaces – the system creates space for people of all ages to express themselves. The most diverse requirements can be realised in no time at all. The modular design also makes a wide variety of architectural styles possible. It gives rise to flexible arrangements of the rooms and connecting spaces – from urban roof terraces for outdoor meetings to indoor courtyards for safe fun in the sandpit.
Student dormitories
The often unexpected and short-term demand for more living space in the “trendy new university cities” is a challenge for many municipalities and local authorities. This wooden container system not only fulfills its purpose, but also inspires thanks to its space-enhancing potential. The goal here is to foster a large community while still offering everyone enough space for relaxation and retreat. Spatial cohesion, reimagined.
Temporary housing
Creating spaces that are manageable and yet equipped with all necessary and application-specific features. Modular. Social. An intelligent and social system via which we have successfully implemented several temporary housing units. Expandable and reducible as required. For architecture that enables social interaction. Indoor and outdoor communal areas that provide shelter and freedom.
