RS 17 – dwelling house

architecture

Who is afraid of 21st century architecture? We have built a private home near Lake Constance on the foothill of Monte Gehro, overlooking fields of apple trees and the lake with the alpine mountains on the horizon. The lush landscape is reflected in the building’s big glass facade. Everything points to the south. All rooms are simple but very well structured. The roof and wall overhangs expand the rooms and create floating transitions between the inside and outside. The northern part of the house with its courtyard situation invites its inhabitants to have breakfast in the morning sun. Lots of little details turn the rural life into a sophisticated lifestyle.
